Deep Night with Dale

A late night talk show with a dose of the occult, Deep Night is hosted by entertainer and self-appointed apprentice of the mystic arts, Dale Seever. On the program Dale welcomes live guests, along with a few conjured from the spirit realm, to sit for a conversation about the creative process and that which compels them. The show features musical accompaniment from Cornelius Loy, master of the theremin.

The show has been called “completely unlike any other show taping today” and a “must listen for fans of comedy” by AV Club’s Podmass and “Fake but also real but also WEIRD” by the folks at Brokelyn.

About the Host:

Your guide through the Deep Night is aspiring healer and long-time comedic entertainer, Dale Seever. In his black turtleneck and comfortable slacks, Dale offers a healing voice in the wee hours of the evening, that moment when night gives way to another day. Dale has performed across the country to sold out halls and enthusiastic crowds in small bars and basements. He’s been hailed as a “post-modern Garrison Keillor”, a “modern day Tony Clifton” and “reminiscent of Alan Partridge” with “a voice like a shoulder squeeze”.

James Bewley (aka Dale Seever) is a Brooklyn-based performer and writer whose work has been presented as part of numerous comedy and storytelling shows across the country. Deep Night with Dale welcomes comedians, artists, and other creatures of the night to talk about their lives and creative pursuits. Bewley trained at UCB Los Angeles and is a former member of the SF sketch group Killing My Lobster. He has made regular appearances at Joe’s Pub, Ars Nova, NYC Podfest, SF Sketchfest, Union Hall, Littlefield, and UCB NY among other fine venues.
