Deep Night with Dale Gets Political!

Featuring guests Janine Brito, Joanna Rothkopf, Jamilah King, and Lily Herman.

With music by Cornelius Loy.

An occult-friendly, late night talk show hosted by entertainer and self-appointed apprentice of the mystic arts, Dale Seever. Dale welcomes live guests, along with a few conjured from the spirit realm, to sit for a conversation about the creative process and that which compels them. The show features musical accompaniment from Cornelius Loy, master of the theremin.

On June 21, Deep Night summons a fantastic conversation of journalists, cultural commentators, and comedians for a discussion on politics, presidents, and the state of the world. The evening is produced with Brooklyn Ladies of Winning (the vote) aka B.L.O.W., a group of people who happen to be women and are circumstantially living in Brooklyn, but who are purposefully committed to holding our current elected officials accountable, impacting upcoming elections and effecting positive change.
Proceeds from the evening will go toward Brand New Congress, a campaign to run 400+non-political candidates for Congress in 2018 in one unified campaign behind one plan to rebuild the economy, repair our communities and radically reform our institutions. Their goal is to gain a majority in Congress in order to radically rethink this country's economy, completely recreate our criminal justice system, get to 100% renewable energy in 10 years, lift millions out of poverty, and protect the least protected in our society.

About the Host:

Your guide through the Deep Night is aspiring shaman and long-time comedic entertainer, Dale Seever. In a sleek black turtleneck and with an owl-shaped amulet around his neck, Dale offers a healing voice in the wee hours of the evening, that moment when the ceaseless night gives way to another endless day. Dale has performed across the country to sold-out halls and enthusiastic crowds in small bars and basements. He’s been hailed as a “post-modern Garrison Keillor”, “reminiscent of Alan Partridge”, with “a voice like a shoulder squeeze”.

James Bewley (aka Dale Seever) is a Brooklyn-based performer and writer whose work has been presented as part of numerous comedy and storytelling shows across the country. Deep Night with Dale is the latest incarnation of his long running talk show/podcast, Dale Radio where he welcomes comedians, artists, and other creatures of the night to talk about their lives and creative pursuits.
